Visitors who would like to take a refreshment break during their round through the museum have a choice: They can either make an intermediate stop at the Bar o.T., a classic espresso bar in the foyer, or they may enjoy the magnificent, 360-degree view of Stuttgart in the glazed rooftop restaurant CUBE. In the summer, the large terrace in front of the museum also entices with around one-hundred seats in the open air.

The Restaurant CUBE, with its unique view over the entire city, offers a lunch menu and, in the afternoon, delicious coffee and cake. It becomes exclusive in the evenings when the museum doors are closed: with "Pacific-Rim cuisine" and a carefully selected wine assortment, operator Restauranteur Jörg Rauschenberger attracts a sophisticated, urbane clientele.

The Bar o.T. in the foyer also presents two different faces depending on the time of day: From 10 am, a classic espresso bar with small snacks, magazine selection, and smooth jazz sounds in the background; then, beginning in the afternoon, it transforms into a bar offering wine and cocktails. Here, after work into the late night, one can recover from everyday stress with unobtrusive lounge music, or debate the current as well as timeless questions of art after an evening event in the art museum.
